| It has been awhile since I've journalized. I don't know if anyone reads these anymore because no one ever posts. I may just set mine to private and do this more as a journal for me. Justin and I decided to invite Jen to come live with us during her time between studying abroad. She is an amazing girl and I'm excited to get to know her better. We just feel God has blessed us with this house and that room is just sitting empty, why not give it to a friend. Tonight I got pulled to the pediatric Intensive care unit, the baby I'm taking care of is a boy that I am very familiar with because he spent his first 4 months of life in the NICU (he is about 5 months now, he has never been out of the hospital). What will his quality of life be like when he is 10? Should his parents have let him go in the first months when he was so incredibly sick? he is a chronic kid, he will be in and out of the hospital his entire life. and if things aren't bad enough for this kid his parents have come to visit him once.. and they get upset if we call them to get consent for procedure. Its a sad story. | | |
| We are officially moved into our new house! But not till after a few difficult hours getting everything worked out with the jerks we were buying from. Thank you to everyone who helped us move, we appriciate it so much! We will have to have a house warming party some time so that people can see it. My dad was planning to leave for Africa next sunday, but my mom called today and said that a ticket has been bought for him that will leave this Thursday. So he had to rush home to get things together. I'm just glad that I got to see him again before he left. And I'm really glad that my brother is in the states with me this time. | | |
| My brother is finally home from Iraq! I got to see him over the past weekend. He isn't quite his normal self yet, but I think that will come with time. We move into our very own house in like 9 days, I'm super excited. Right now our apartment is miserable, I can't stand it! Rosie has been behaving herself for the most part. Thank you to all of you that have offered to walk her when she is with justin in the raven!! | | |
| If you've already seen Justin's blog, you will have seen Rosie, our sweet little pup. On Thursday we were like "lets just go look at these puppies in the paper, we won't get anything today". Yeah, right!! As soon as we saw them the fight was over. She is so cute! Ashes isn't sure what to think yet. She hasn't swatted him yet, I think that she knows its a baby so she hasn't been too mean. Our campsite this weekend was really beautiful! On Saturday we didn't see a soul out there! Nobody was fishing or anything. All we heard were the loons, toads croaking and other wildlife. We had a really good time. Does anyone have any boxes we could use to move? It would be much appreciated! | | |
| Tues: Look at the house we want with rev kev Wed: work 7a-7p Thurs: Home buyer class and On call for work Fri-Mon: Camping!!! Over all a pretty good rest of the week. Then next weekend Luke, my brother, comes home!! I can't wait to see him. Its been about a year and a half since I've seen him. I'm trying to decide if we (me and dad) should put on a welcome home party for him. I kinda think he would like to be alone for a little bit first. | | |
